RETRAUX. [pronounced retro] - a culturally outdated or aged style, trend, mode, or fashion from the overall modern past, that has since that time become functionally or superficially the norm once again.
So...what to do when you've thrifted a bunch of awesome, retraux sweaters from the Salvation Army? Dedicate seven consecutive days to style as well as document them of course! Needless to say, I was kept warm and comfy all week! I'm not entirely sure where the idea came from to conduct 'retraux sweater week', but I looked into my closet one day and realized just how many of these neat, throwback sweaters I owned and the rest was history. Other than a fluorescent pink one I bought for $30 from H&M, I've never paid more than $8 for any of my sweaters. I can't deny that this has certainly spoiled me and transformed me into an extreme bargain shopper, lol. I've also decided to style my hair into what most of you refer to as 'Poetic Justice' braids. I just knew this style would complement all of the looks appropriately! All in all, I basically wanted this post to epitomize the 80's/90's. I also had a lot of fun shooting these pictures thanks to my friend Chelsea! On another note, my bottom garments from Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday's outfits--all of those are also from thrift shops. Enjoy! :)
